I know the stigma that is attached with some of the services offered in the addiction medicine field and while I can somewhat understand why people judge those of us that are in recovery just due to the nature of our past but the majority of us truly want help, was unable to do it without help, and now my quality of life has improved tremendously thanks to Dr. Thomas. He spends as much time with me as I need, always checks my vitals to make sure that no medication is interfering, and genuinly seems to want to help people to move their life into the right direction as I know I was in the deepest darkest hole I had ever been in when I started seeing Dr Thomas and now my life is manageable, I work once again, and the main thing is I once again have a social life, not spending all my time, money and energy to chase the dragon..

this is a HORRIBLE doctor. he simply takes patients from illegal drug addicts to prescription drug addicts. beware. he will ruin lives.

I was referred to V.J. Thomas by the Veterans Adminstration, Jefferson Barracks Hospital by thier resident physician in the field of phychiatry. I was hospitalized for Alcohol Abuse. I was immediately given an appointment since I was on Sick Leave. I was at a point of despair when Dr. Thomas saw me. I was given a written test and a one-on-one conversation and I was evaluated with several diagnosis by Dr. Thomas. Depression, Panic Disorder and Post Tramatic Syndrome. The doctor provided me with temporary medication in addition to bi-weekly counseling including bio-feedback. My family could not be any happier with my medicalcare by Dr. V.J. Thomas and the results of that care.
