Dr. Viktor Erik Krebs

Dr Krebs did a right hip replacement in July 2022. He did a fantastic job. It healed beautifully and I am totally pain free. I did my rehab and listened to recovery instructions as what was written in my instructions from the hospital and physical therapist. I feel like a new person. In my initial visit I was able to face time with my daughter who lives out of town and is registered nurse. Dr Krebs was able to show my daughter the x-rays and took the time to explain how he does the surgery in detail.

I saw Dr. Krebs at the Cleveland Clinic after my Orthopedic Team in Michigan felt I needed new eyes to review my complicated hip history. Dr. Krebs was reviewing my left hip that had already been replaced. He was aware I have EDS and that my right hip replacement failed twice because my bones have trouble graping to new devices. After my physical exam, Dr. Krebs told me felt my hip was loose, but I was to come back for an MRI, and then he would contact me to move forward. Two weeks later, I called his office to ask for a follow up appointment and heard nothing. I sent 4 emails through the patient portal, and spoke to his PA who told me Dr. Krebs would contact me within 48 hours. But I heard nothing!!! After 2 months, I gave up. I called my orthopedic team in Michigan and after a physical exam, they booked an OR. Two weeks later, my Michigan doctors found I had subplexed passed the locking cup of my hip replacement, knocked away all the porcelain, and my replacement was metal on metal… and causing damage within my hip joint. Following my surgery, I contacted the Cleveland Clinic and filed a complaint. I was told Dr. Krebs admitted there was a breakdown in communication. That's it. I drove 5 hours two times because I heard he was the best. Instead I was ignored, overlooked, left in pain, all the while my hip was getting worse. If he's so busy speaking at conferences and cant follow through, than he needs to stop seeing patients.

Dr. Krebs did FANTISTIC surgery in replacing both of my knees. He was very professional from my initial visit, through my surgery and my post surgery care. HE"S THE BEST!!!!!

A great surgeon ! Takes his time explaining every aspect of surgery, I had hip replacement done years ago, and I will be having knee replacements in the fall, trust him completely, may God bless him !

He has done 4 joint surgeries on me with excellent results. I feel he is the only reason I'm able to walk. He has a wonderful personality to match his skills.
