Dr. Vivian Wasserteil Bucay, MD

Let's not forget Dr. Bandari. She works alongside Dr. Bucay to address my medical concerns and she is phenomenal. She is punctual, professional and polite (the 3 p's). Her counsel has cleared up diabetic skin concerns which most doctors would have missed.

This is a review of the procedure not the office on Craigs Place. Don't waste your money. After cool sculpting (did not work) Melissa tried a round of Vanquish (did not work). After almost a year of going there, she decided I had visceral (look it up) fat. Visceral fat cannot be removed by cool sculpting or Vanquish. Wish I was told that in the beginning. Instead I got that information at the end when nothing improved. I spent $8,000 for NO improvement....how sad & stupid can that be! No refund was suggested. So keep your money and don't waste your time on these procedures. Not sure it's a scam, but dang near close to it.

I made an appointment with Dr Bucay two months ago for fillers and she asked me about my hperpigmentation on my cheeks. I have suffered with dark spots on my cheeks for 3 years and have paid a few doctors thousands of dollars to try to remove my hyperpigmentation. I have also stayed away from the sun and I love the sun but was constantly on bleaching creams so I was not able to be outside in the sun. I have had chemical peels, take home peels, laser treatments, micro pen and PRP treatments which were 500.00 per treatment, vitamin therapy with glutathione which cost me $2,500.00 for ten treatments and lots of topical creams. I had given up on trying to remove my hyperpigmentation. I was very dissappointed in myself for wasting so much money. I'm sure the doctors that I went to thought that they could remove my hyperpigmenation but unfortunately they were not able to remove my spots. I explained to Dr. Bucay why I did not want to try to remove my hyperpigmentation. I felt it was a waste… of my money and time and I wanted some fillers to make me feel better about my face. Her response was GIVE ME A TRY. I hesitated but she is so beautiful and sweet and I figured if she can look as good as she does, why not let her try? I have been on oral medication and topical creams that she prescribed to me and I am the happiest that I have been in 3 years! THANK YOU VERY MUCH DR. BUCAY! YOU ARE AMAZING! I have received so many compliments on my face. Everybody has noticed the difference. I will forever be grateful! My hyperpigmentation is almost gone! She gave me a prescription for 3 months so I have one more month to go and I am sure it will be completely gone.

Dr. Bucay is very knowledgeable and personable. She is the best! She actually listens to her patients!

I have waited over two hours for my treatments. Also last laser treatment left me with scars that I was not warned about. Ask questions and expect to get honest answers. Staff disorganized office not well run.

Dr. Bucay is one of the most knowledgeable, and caring Doctors I have ever met. You may have to wait, but when you get into her room, she gives all the time you need. Everyone in the office is a team player, friendly, and extremely helpful. I have been a patient of Dr. Bucay's for over 15 years, and have sent numerous patients to her over the years. Doctors like Dr. Bucay are hard to find!

Dr. Bucay was very nice and personable. I felt very comfortable and she obviously knows what she is doing. I was very surprised by the cost at the end of the visit. Mostly my fault as I didn't inquire prior to get the procedure completed. Make sure you ask about cost prior to getting anything completed. In retrospect, reception could be a little nicer considering the huge investment out of pocket.

I made an appointment to see a dermatologist (Dr. Bucay) but saw told she was not even in Country and I had to see a Physicians Assistant (PA) instead. If I had been told this at the time of the appointment I would have never kept the appointment, If I wanted a PA I would have ask to see one. I would have cancelled the appointment. I think this was a real deception on the part of the scheduling office/ Receptionist. The PA was very arrogant and tried to talk down to me would not do a culture and stated she knew exactly was the problem was without a culture. Some how she missed that part of making an accurate diagnosis when she went to school Her response was take some antibiotics use a wash and creme come back in 4 -6 weeks. However once you get this (big medical name as if she was impressing me) you can never get rid of it. She totally ignored my request for a culture. It was a waste of my time and money. I'm still upset about the experience. The PA wanted me to schedule a… follow up visit in 4 weeks. I will not be returning. I have since found a Dermatologist that listened to me on how and when this happened and TOOK a culture as he stated not being as smart as the PA a culture is the only way to find out the problem. It is MERSA how about that and not what the PA insisted it was not even close. Your PA needs to be sent back to school learn about taking cultures and not talk down to the patient and treat them with the proper antibiotics AFTER the diagnosis has been confirmed. I of course will never ever go back to this office and have told my friends and the Doctors I know and work with to steer clear of this practice. ZERO rating is more then should be given !!!

Overall appearance of office is arrogant and false. Over charges for basic derm procedures. Billing dept is even worse.

I have been seeing Dr. Bucay for close to 11 years. I've followed her practice from the Medical area to her current location at "La Casita". She's a wonderful, warm Dr. who really takes her time to seek out how to help your specific needs. Her staff, Marla, Melissa and all the other ladies in the office have always been so pleasant and caring. I'm always greeted with a smile, asked how I'm doing and feel like I'm visiting my 2nd family. I've read some reviews on this page that are very disheartening. Dr. Bucay is nothing but a wonderful, caring Dr. who, in any way is NOT arrogant or money hungry. As a matter a fact, has always tried to help me meet my budget even at times letting me know she'll be holding specials and other tips to help me save money. The only one thing that I can say is yes, sometimes you will wait, but she/anyone in her office at "La Casita" is worth the wait, they will show you the time and attention you need understanding why your wait might have been a… little longer than expected, making it ok! She has been through a lot in life and only has the deepest appreciation and love for her patients. I love this office and have and will continue to recommend her to friends and family.
