Dr. Wayne Anthony Lee, MD

My wife and I were in San Antonio for Christmas 2025 with our family. We live in Oklahoma. A 9 hour drive. The day before we were to leave for home we were standing in hotel kitchen. I turned slightly to set a plate down and pow. My hip implant failed. Thought it dislocated but knew it was different from all the previous dislocations I had experienced. Ambulance took me to Methodist hospital. By then I figured it was a failure of some type. X-rays confirmed my biggest fear. The implant had fractured below the head. This failure had not been seen by Dr Lee or the hospital. I had to wait 6 days for all the replacement parts and tools to remove the stem to come in. It was highly likely that the femur would fracture upon removal of the stem. Dr Lee did the surgery and it didn’t fracture the femur when he removed the old stem. This meant I didn’t have to be non weight bearing for 6-8 weeks. I had some scaring of my quad muscles and he was able to free it up as well. He didn’t make my… leg longer with the new implant either! 3 days after surgery I was able to make the long car ride home. This was the 5th hip replacement on my right side. I had less pain with this one than all the previous surgery’s including the two left hip surgeries. I was afraid to have surgery in a strange place and unknown to me doctor! I am so thankful for Dr Lee. He is very humble and spent plenty of time talking to us about surgery and recovery. I would highly recommend Dr Lee. He is the best. I would want him again if I had to have another orthopedic surgery. Thank you doctor Lee for taking on my case and not giving it to one of the resident doctors. He went above and beyond to care for me. I will be forever thankful.

If you are searching for a qualified Orthopedic Surgeon, then you may stop looking because it is Dr. Wayne Lee. I had knee surgery last Friday and both Dr. Lee and the staff at the Methodist Out-patient Surgery Center could not have been nicer to me and my daughter. I was well-informed of the process and procedure, everyone was kind, thoughtful and couldn't seem to do enough for me. I hope you heed my advice and choose Dr. Lee for your surgery - I promised you won't regret it. I just love him.

I had a fractured elbow and was referred to Doctor Lee as a specialist. He was very friendly, explained my situation and how best to proceed with recovery and was always available by phone if I had any questions. I would highly recommend his services.
