Dr. William Lewis Ferrar, MD

I was a patient for years while I lived in Virginia. He is what I call an old fashioned doctor. He is not on a time clock when you see him. He takes time to understand you and to explain things so that I understood what was expected of me. He also tells it like, without being rude it is which I like. I miss Dr. Ferrar; I have not been able to find a doctor like him since I moved from Virginia.

I have been seeing Dr. Ferrar for over 20 years, and he always takes the time to listen to my questions and concerns. Always returns phone calls in a timely manor and I feel confident seeing any of his associates if he should be on vacation.

Dr. Ferrar is a very likable and humble individual who will speak to you in plain English. If you don't understand something, just ask him. He is a no-nonsense physician but still maintains a sense of humor and has a terrific bedside manner. I always feel completely at ease visiting him.

I have doctored with Ferrar for over 15 years and he is very knowledgeable and thorough. He is one of the few doctors that call his patients directly with lab results or returns calls if a patient leaves a message. I would highly recommend him. When I first moved to this area and was looking for a PCP, my wife asked around her office if anyone had a recommendation. One girl told her that her dad was a doctor and instructed her to doctor with Ferrar. He said he would trust him with his life. So, I went and have continued on with him ever since. I am thankful for all his care of the years.

Office was clean, staff friendly and professional, waiting time was short. Dr. Ferrar was very experienced and knowledgeable. Lab technician that took blood sample and medical technician that took blood pressure and other readings were exceedingly nice and very good at their profession.

Having been a patient now for many years with Dr. Ferrar, I have come to appreciate his strait forward analysis of my health. He gets right down to the truth about where I am and where I ought to be health wise. He has been a valuable guide for keeping me in shape.

Dr. Ferrar is not your typical doctor. He listens he asks questions and does a thorough evaluation of your problems. I have never had to go back for second trip when seeing him as he does an excellent job of finding and treating your problems. He is a caring person who treats you as a person not just a patient. He gives you a complete description of what you have, how to treat it and any problems you may face while doing it. For anyone needing an excellent doctor you would be wrong not to go to him as he will treat you well.
