Dr. William Hayes Wilson, MD

Every single time my bride or I go to visit Dr. Wilson, he's the same danged way - Outstanding. He's always humble, happy go lucky, smiling and singing as he comes in the door. He's always thorough in his physical exam and very very gentle when injecting the joints. He is always thinking out side the lines to make sure he hasn't missed something. God bless Dr. Hayes Wilson.

The guy is more interested in his voice lessons then his patients. He breaks out into song in the middle of an examination.

Only problem we have had is that sometimes his office staff doesn't follow up on issues like prescriptions and insurance. He is wonderful and thorough.

Dr. Wilson is very knowledgeable and kind. He's a realist. It takes doctor/patient cooperation to keep health problems under control.

Don't waste your time going to him. He is dismissive, strange and not helpful.

Dr. Hayes Wilson is in rheumatology practice with his wife - I like that! Although it takes sometimes 1 or 2 hours of waiting to see him, I haven't heard of any other rheumatologist in the SE (I talk to many patients who have autoimmune diseases via internet) who does not frequently have at least a 1 hour wait and occasionally 3hour waits. And is is because they are addressing the urgent needs of other patients and will take time with me, too, that reassures me. I've been going to Dr. Hayes for about 15 years, now. I was diagnosed properly and promptly with one disease, and when I developed another, my diagnosis was also prompt and proper. My treatments are appropriate according to the latest medical information available. Dr. Hayes is happy in his profession - and sings! He has a nice voice, and sometimes I sing along with him. Competent, personable, kind, caring. Those are all things I look for in my physicians. He has them in abundance. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Wilson is the worst medical professional I have ever experienced. The whistling and singing is annoying on top of waiting hours to be seen. His medical support staff is awful too, no attention to detail, timely follow up and is unreliable and inefficient. Dr. Wilson's office is in dire need of an efficient practice manager.

I'd been going to Dr. Wilson for 4 years and was used to waiting over an hour to see him. This last time was just too much...I waited 3 hours. When I got into the examining room, I said, "Running late?" He said, "No, I'm not running late." Unbelievable! Time to get a new Rheumy.

He saved my life when other Doctors ignored my symptoms - What more can I say He is the BEST

Dr. W. Hays Wilson has, in my opinion, the best rheumatology practice in the entire metro Atlanta area. Patients are diagnosed as rapidly as is clinically possible. This is critically important for people with autoimmune diseases. Dr. Hays cares deeply about his patients and shows it in his demeanor. He enjoys his work - he sings and hums as he goes through his day. It makes me feel good to hear hims - it lets me know that he appreciates his patients. He's that unusual mixture of high-tech / high-touch. His attitude spills over onto his staff who have always treated me and other patients I've seen there with good nature and compassion. I travel a long way, and pass 3 other rheumatology practices, in order to see him. I like it that his wife is in practice with him.
