Dr. Sharon Xiao Chun Yang, MD

Misdiagnosed a simple UTI. Yelled at me and put me at risk for sepsis. Will be filing for negligence.

I am a nurse and I spoke to Sharon Yang regarding my mother’s care. My mother had lower back pain, CVA tenderness, dysuria, and a fever of 100. She went to see the “physician” and was sent away with no broad spectrum antibiotics while the urinalysis was pending and told to get a COVID test. I understand all physicians practice differently but her response to me was dismissive and rude. She yelled, verbatim, “I don’t have time to check on the urinalysis results and talk to every single one of your family members.” I was the only one that has called on behalf of my mother and my mother hadn't spoken to the physician since the appointment. You’re only a primary care physician, not an ER physician or neurosurgeon, where you deem yourself too good to check on urinalysis results. Needless to say, I am switching primary care for my mother. Also bonus, she tested positive for UTI and pyelonephritis when I took her to an urgent care. Currently, Dr. Yang still has no results and has not… prescribed anything. My mother could have become septic and died.

I have been a patient of Dr. Yang for several years, and I can't rate her highly enough! I always do research into professional credentials and experience before I make an appointment with a medical practitioner, and I was very pleased to find a physician of her caliber. Dr. Yang is exceptionally knowledgeable as well as concerned and patient and always took all the time necessary to answer my questions and prescribe successful courses of treatment for me, which included lifestyle changes as well as the minimum drugs needed to treat my conditions. Dr. Yang was everything I had hoped for and more. My only regret is that since I have recently moved across the country, I will no longer be able to be her patient.

I had been suffering for years with severe migraines, and after having seen many specialists, Dr. Yang - then my new Primary Physician- correctly diagnosed what my issues were. I have been a fan of Dr. Yang ever since because she is an incredibly good physician who truly listens to her patients. I highly recommend her!

I have been a patient of Dr.Yang's for ten years. She has been a "blessing" of God to me and my physical health. I highly value her services.

Visited Dr. Yang and asked for my medical records. She refused to give them to me and said I was going to use them for ulterior motives. At the time she knew I was ill from stress and had very elevated heart rate and blood pressure. BUT this didn't stop her from screaming and arguing with me before she finally gave me my own medical records. Would NOT recommend.

Dr. Yang has been our family physician for more than 10 years, taking care of my wife and myself, both age 76. She is very dedicated, always taking time to listen to patients' concerns, to answer questions, and to dispense sound advice and recommendations. She also referred us to top doctors and specialists when we needed it. Thanks to Dr. Yang's attentional care, we feel our wellbeing is in good hands. We could not think of a best doctor at our side for our golden years.

I visited her office twice, and got prescriptions filled for 3 months. For some reason the pharmacy only gave me a months supply, and when I went back for the refill they had sent it back. They tried contacting her office and got no reply and ask for me to do the same. When I did the receptionist place the doctor on the phone, and she was beyond disrespectful and rude and yelling. Asking why I am calling for a refill when it was a three month supply, even after I explained to her it wasn't me it was the pharmacy who asked me to call. She told be it was not her problem and pick it up with the pharmacy, while yelling at me on the phone and then hung up. When I tried calling back...in shock at her behavior they wouldn't answer the phone. All because the pharmacy did not give me the full three months of meds, and wanted her approval to refill it again. I would never recommend a doctor who has no personal skills, and lack decorum. I immediately changed doctors the same day.
