Dr. Yesenia Medina, DO

Upon arrival to the clinic, i has a wait time of 2 hours prior to seeing the Dr. After meeting her, She did not seem to be concerned with any of the issues I wanted to discuss. She quickly asked my history and left as if she were in a huge hurry. After waiting around for about 40 minutes longer after telling the tech I was not finished, I had concerns, she finally came back in announcing she needed to go to lunch before she came in. I figured this must be a busy day for her and left non judgmental. On my second follow up after being diagnosed with kidney stones in the ER I had again another 2 hour wait and they were not very nice. She came in and asked if I needed something and why I was there. When I told her to follow up on the kidney stones as she is who had me make the follow up appointment anyways, she told me oh no shes not a specialist so she couldn't help me. I was in the appointment for over 4 hours all for this lady to tell me she doesn't know why I am there and that I should… see a specialist. Well duh lady. I'm here for a follow up in regards to it as you made the appointment. I left and switched my pcp right away. A doctor should listen to the patient instead of rush them out the door and should respect the patient by seeing them at the time or a round about time they are scheduled. And most definitely should never tell your patient you aren't a specialist so you can't help them. In this matter, what does a PCP even do since they aren't a specialist as there are specialists for every I'll body part or malfunction. I guess she just wants people to come in with the common cold- too bad they can't seem to schedule an appointment quick enough. I've never complained about a Dr before, but as I myself work in anesthesia, I know how a patient should be treated and what I should expect out of my PCP.

I made an appointment with Doctor Medina because I moved to a new neighborhood and wanted a doctor closer to my home. The first thing that hit me when I walked in the office was a strong mildew smell, I though about walking out but decided to give the doctor a chance because I already made and appointment. I waited about thirty minutes to see the Doctor; when I saw the doctor she seamed to be in a hurry. She asked me briefly about my medical history and then thank me and left. When the nurse walked in I had to ask her to please get the Doctor as I had some concerns about my health. When Doctor Medina came back in she asked me what the problem was as if it was a bother to her. I went over my concerns and had some test done. To my surprise when I was leaving the exam room the nurse that was in there with the doctor shook her finger at me. I was very embarrassed and just wanted to get out of there as fast a possible. I called to get my test results and was advised to just come in that… day. That was an hour and a half wait. Once I was in the exam room I found out that they didn't even know why I was there, and then they told me that they did not have all the results for me. I saw a different doctor that took the time to go over my results. This Sunday I had a tooth ache so, I called my Doctor to see if anything could be done, I never got a call back. And ended up going to urgent care where the gave me antibiotics and pain medicine. Today I call because I need to see about a prescription for an ongoing issue that they diagnosed me about, never got a call back. I am going to a new doctor next week; I hope that he will feel that I am important enough to listen to.
