Dr. Simon Fishman, MD

Dr Fishman was so incredibly unprofessional that I have doubts my exam was performed with appropriate attention. He was over an hour late to perform a diagnostic test, and I was kept waiting even though office hours were over and no more patients were present. He brought presumably an observer to the test without introduction/explanation, then rushed through the exam - yanking needles out at an angle causing bleeding- as noted by the Unidentified Observer- “Um, that’s a lot of blood”. Do not seek care from this doctor.

I had a 2 pm appointment to have a growth on my spinal cord monitored. By 3 pm I was still waiting to see Dr. Fishman. When I walked out they ran to the back and got him. He asked me two quick unrelated questions and wrote an unrelated prescription. He never examined me or conducted the appointment. They then billed me and my insurer claiming he performed the appointment.

Dismissive, judgmental, condescending. Poor bedside manner. This doctor has an award for being “compassionate”? Really???? No thanks.

Unprofessional and rude doctor. Avoid!

Absolutely useless doctor! I paid $150 for a visit and he didn't even bother to see me! Told me through his assistant to go to see another doctor. Absolute waist of time and money!

My husband and I met with Dr. Fishman with regards to obtaining a diagnosis for my uncontrollable muscle spasms, locked arm and fingers, seizure like episodes. He didn't ask me about my health history that could have triggered this disorder. Just what was currently going on. Didn't stand up to exam me. Talked primarily to his computer and considered putting me on seizure medication. Told us dystonia does not involve the arms Then decided against seizure medication and put me on a botox regiment. But what my husband and i did't understand is why prescribe botox if Dr. Fishman didn't think I had dystonia? We found a Great Movement Disorder Neurologist on our own. Not the one Dr Fisherman referred is to. I am now being treated for my more complexed case of cervical dystonia new doctor. Dr. Fishman was not a good doctor for us.

Happy to report that Dr. Fishman has successfully treated me for chronic migraines since about 2011-2012. I finally have my life back.

I can see how people would think Dr. Fishman is arrogant. But, I felt like he was professional and personable. He helped me with an issue that was more than likely anxiety related and didn't judge. I would definitely go back.

I saw dr. Simon Fishman on February 22nd 2017 I was in a car accident January 18th 2017 ever since that car accident I have been suffering from headaches dizzy spells and blurred vision after 15 minutes with his assistant dr. Simon came in he looked at me and said I know what you have just by looking at you I can tell you have sleep apnea he then proceeded to ask me what medications was on I told them I was on a muscle relaxer and a anti-inflammatory he then proceeded to say basically that I was addicted to pain pills which of you notice I do not take or did I state that I take my current doctors are not prescribing me any pain pills I don't like pain pills I do not like the way they make me feel I would not recommend anyone going to see this doctor if you have been injured in a car accident you might end up with sleep apnea

Dr Fishman's office runs efficiently and effectively. The office staff is friendly and I like that they collect the copay when I check in. (Saves time at the conclusion of the appointment.) Consistently, I don't have to wait. Dr Fishman engages in problem solving with me, the patient. My treatment options are discussed and mutually agreed on. This office is and the doctor are worthy of 5 stars.
