Dr. Charles Carson Hogge, MD

I absolutely adore this man! I’ve never had a faster, more thorough eye exam, let alone a more caring follow up process. He understood that my lupus was causing shingles to flare up on my cornea! He is very sweet, caring, and funny! I honestly think he is my favorite doctor that I’ve ever had! ??????

Not interested in my eye problem. He was arrogant, rude and condescending. I will not return to the office.

Dr. Hogg is one of the rudest doctors I have ever known. He has no bed side manner, rushes patients through and doesn't care about the patient's questions or concerns. He did a good job on my surgery but I will not go back to him after the initial follow up appointment. A person isn't suppose to feel put down and angry when they (or insurance) have just paid for their services. He is arrogant and should not be dealing with people face to face. Maybe this is one reason his nurse does most of the work before and after he does surgery. If you are looking for a good, pleasant eye doctor stay away from this one.

NOT good! He spent 5 minutes and made very hasty diagnosis without hearing my concern or the reason for the visit. He was in such a big hurry he was talking as he was walking out of the room at the end of the 5 minutes. I've never seen a doctor in that big rush to get out of the room before.

Dr. Hogge has treated me for bilateral removal of cataracts..He is very knowledgeable, thorough, courteous and kind..

I saw Dr Hogge about somewhat blurred vision in one eye I'd recently encountered. I didn't have to wait long in the waiting room before I was taken into a room to have drops put in my eye, in preparation for Dr Hogge examining me. Dr Hogge was professional, friendly and informative. He diagnosed my problem quickly, determining that I need a Yag lasar procedure to correct the problem. I have since had that procedure done by Dr Hogge and the affected eye is back to 20/20 vision. I found Dr Hogge and his staff to be wonderful and I'm very thankful for the treatment I received.

Unquestionably the worst experience I have ever had with a medical “professional “. Dr. Hogge was condescending, arrogant and abrasive during my recent visit. His unprofessional, obnoxious attitude nearly caused me to walk out; which in retrospect would have been ok, as I gained absolutely nothing beneficial from my visit. His only accomplishment was billing my insurance company and aggravating me.

Would recommend Dr. Hogge and Dominion Eye Care for all eye care needs.

Will never go back. Condescending, couldn't be bothered to listen to the issue that prompted the visit, or anything else I had to say.
