Dr. Javaid Shafqat Sheikh, MD

If I could give this Doctor ZERO stars I would. His bedside manner is completely atrocious. He does not care about his patients and claims to know nothing about autoimmune symptoms such as (joint pain/fatigue) and will immediately dismiss you to pain management without further investigating or requesting additional labs. I went in today (December 10, 2025) and explained that I was diagnosed with Sjogren's from ophthalmology and he responded telling me to stick with them and no follow up is needed with rheumatology. Then when I tell him I still have autoimmune symptoms and have been suffering for MONTHS, he interrupts yet again and tells me to listen to him carefully as he tells me there is NOTHING he will do for me. I then tried again to explain to him research that I completed about new therapies ( for joint pain and inflammation) and he shut me up again saying he has no idea what I’m talking about in regards to the medication and that I only have fibromyalgia. Not to mention a $50… copay for a 15 second visit. Don’t even try to complain to the office manager who will barely make time or even find a professional space to listen to you. She listened to me in a half-lit hallway and stated that she had nothing to do with those concerns and that she has a call waiting and left me talking to myself. Shameful practice. Shameful physician and doubtful of his (if any) credentials. He should seriously contemplate a different profession since he claims not to know the symptoms of Sjogren's autoimmune disease. I would be remiss if I didn't inquire as to the legitimacy of his MD, and if he received his medical degree during the founding father's era since he seems to be unwilling or BLIND to innovative practices being utilized in 2025.

Not a good listener and has mind up no matter what blood tests say. I have lupus and have been treated by another he says I do not and tried to send me to pain management. I was sick and in pain while seeing him and he offered nothing to help and blew me off. I think he wants new patients only and not patients that are being actively treated.

Dr. Sheikh has been my rheumatologist for 18 years. On my first visit, he ran the appropriate test and gave me a correct diagnosis. Thankfully he has kept my Lupus and arthritis under control for all these years. I can say he and his staff has always been courteous to my wife and I. We have discuss my health on many associate ailments and he has directed me to the proper doctors or technicians. My personal opinion is that Dr. Sheikh is a very knowledgeable doctor. I discuss but don't try to tell him his job.

The receptionist and the office staff have terrible attitudes. You have to wait 1-3 months for an appointment.. They make you wait 1 hour in the lobby when you have an appointment. The doctor has the same attitude as his employees, bad. The doctor spoke like three words and then left. All they want is your money and care nothing about your health. The employees are always changing and many never stay long because his attitude is very ugly. Never use Dr. Javaid's services.
