Terrible behavior, didn’t listen to concerns, arrogant and unfriendly

I went to this so call lady and when she first came in she blamed all of my problems to my weight with out looking at my charts or anything. I have a real medical problem and she dismissed my problems and told me I'm only having this problem due to my weight, she then "diagnosed" me with sleep apnea when I never had it then she tried to tell me I'm diabetic when my blood work came out fine and she gave me medication I don't need and the ones I needed she didn't prescribed them. Avoid this lady at all cost she is rude and dismissive and if you are someone in the heavy side prepare for her to blame every thing on your weight even if you are bleeding out in front of her.

I began seeing Dr. Itzkovitz 1.5 years ago after my first PCP left the practice and I needed a new doctor. She is really sweet and I'm sure she is a knowledgeable physician, but her tendency to interrupt and speak over me has left me feeling unheard and ultimately unsafe, as I feel she is quick to dismiss symptoms I describe (or begin to describe, since she cuts me off to diagnose me before I am even done speaking). I can also confirm a few things from the other negative reviews; she does prescribe medication I didn't even ask for. She reviewed all the medication my other specialists prescribe for me and offered to prescribe the medications herself. It's odd because I need to see the specialists for reasons other than medication management. Like I said, she seems like a kind person, but I need a doctor who will slow down, look at me, and listen before responding.

Dr. Itkovitz is simply the best. She's been my PCP for 3 years now, and she's always been a reliable, dedicated provider. She's extremely knowledgeable, professional, thorough, and kind. Her guidance during my annual physical keeps me in my best shape. She listens to all my health concerns, looks into my family history with care, and makes the best recommendations. I will continue to have her as my PCP and will be recommending her to my family and friends.

I've seen Dr. Itzkovitz for about 2.5 years as my PCP. Since the very first appointment I noticed she was incredibly difficult to talk to. She does not listen to my concerns, feelings, or thoughts whatsoever. She bulldozes right through everything in the appointments, it feels very rushed and she speaks over you the entire time! She doesn't let you get a word in and claims she knows exactly what is going on without having listened. Then, she is super eager to prescribe medications for things that are not even verified are problems. I ended up with multiple prescriptions I don't need. I find this to be very dangerous and irresponsible. Dr. Itzkovitz seems like a knowledgable doctor which is why I stayed at first but after a couple years of dealing with this behavior, I finally decided to switch doctors. I think this doctor is looking to overprescribe, perhaps for insurance or money reasons and needs a serious lesson in listening to her patients, beware! If you want to go to your PCP… and leave feeling safe and listened to, this is not the doctor for you.

I had a lingering respiratory infection with a continuing bad postnasal drip. I saw other doctors but no help. Dr Itzkovitz carefully formulated a treatment plan. She explained everything. And it worked. All symptoms are gone. Thank you, Dr Itzkovitz

Dr. Itzkovitz seems sweet, probably the reason that she was recommended to me, but she did not listen to me at all. She wrote something incorrect in my chart because 'most patients with my symptoms have that health concern' and would not listen when I explain that my previous Dr deliberately ruled it out. I needed an out of network referral which she told me she did not know how to do, and despite me explaining how to, or having her secretary call insurance to find out, she just didn't send it in. I am looking for a new doctor.

Dr. Itzkovitz - I was somewhat annoyed that this doctor didn't listen to what I had to say. I had to talk over her throughout my appointment to get my message across of what I was feeling. I was having shortness of breath. I told her I saw a pulmonologist 1 years ago, who conducted many test for asthma. He said the test came out goo.d I don't have any wheezing just shortness of breath. He did an allergy test and said that I had an allergy to certain chemicals or fabric, which make's me short of breath. He recommended a non steroid pump to use when I feel it coming on. I used the pump twice after that and found that he was right. I had a blanket that would leave lint all over my bed and my clothes, so I threw it out and never felt short of breath again. A year later I got it again and went to see Ina who was close by. I explained what happen or I tried and she said she was a pulmonologist too and that I was getting asthma at my late age. I told her I know my body and I do not have… asthma, I'm not wheezing it's an allergic reaction to something my symptoms are speratic, sometimes I won't get it for many years. She insisted and writes things in my chart that I did not agree with. She prescribed a steroid pump and told me to use it for a week even if I don't feel short of breath. I refused and asked her to prescribe what my other doctor gave me that worked which I threw out cause I never got it again after that. Big mistake she prescribed me a asthma pump with steroids which I specifically said not to no steroids. She insisted and put it through, it cost 100.00 she didn't do any test to prove that was what I had and that's suppose to be her specialty. She wanted me to take the pump twice a day for a weeks even if I had no symthoms of shortness of breath. I'm not a ginny pig, I didn't take the pump my sister had the same pump my pulmonolist gave me I used it once and until this day never got it again. It's important that she listens to her patients, not talk so much and be truthful about what your writting on someones chart. I don't have asthma. who knows what the side effects I would have gotten if I took her prescription. I think she picks and chooses her patients. She may not be the doctor for everyone. I would not go to her again.

Had to fight to get a word in during my visit, the doctor talked over me so much that I could barely even explain my symptoms. She comes off quite rude and dismissive. Every side effect I was experiencing from the drugs she prescribed, I was told was my own fault and nothing to do with the drugs. All my concerns ignored and basically was told I was the problem. Would be nice to have a doctor that listens and doesn’t ignore and dismiss everything you say. Also prescribed a whole bunch of meds that I didn’t even need. This doctor doesn’t care about your or your illness, just prescribes meds and sends you on your way. Do yourself a favor and see another doctor!

The doctor prescribed medication that required pre authorization from my insurance company. The pharmacy left her office a message, I texted her twice and the doctor never responded to my emails. Very disappointed, I would expect more from a Physican. I have decided to see a different primary care doctor.
