Terrible bedside manner and not interested in finding answers to complicated UTI... Instructed me on good hygiene one too many times... Before I finally lost it and did not go back!!

Cord lacks any kind of bedside manner, no empathy at all. He ordered a prescription for my prostrate. It was never called in to my pharmacy. After three calls to the office, I gave up. So I hope it wasn’t important. I’ve asked for my records and have received nothing. I won’t go back.

While doing a foley reinstall, he used almost no lidocaine at all. Caused a lot of pain and smirked throughout. No empathy, which you can’t teach and no bedside manner, where he obviously cut class. I wish we could do minus stars. This guy is a creep.

I have seen several urologists for my testicle mass. They all told me I was imagining it. Only Dr Cord was able to realize I had cancer. He saved my life.

Dr. James Cord is the first Urologist in AZ to treat me with respect, listen to the issue I had concerning his profession he was trained in. Dr. James Cord explained the options available to cure it and also explained a diet that would help make the problem better. Also, Dr. Cord had two excellent person from the Residency Clinic with him that were very professional and concerned about my health issue. The Surgery went well because of the excellent treatment and care by the whole team. I thank them all not only for doing their job but, for treating me with the utmost respect. Staff and Doctor were excellent.

My husband went to the ER room had a golf size kidney stone, Dr. cord did lipotripsy ( other urologist have told us he should have basket it) and missed the kidney stone(keep in mind he never hit the stone so there was no pieces in his kidney)and hit his kidney. Sent him home and with in 5 hours I had to bring him back to the ER he was in a lot of pain. They admitted him and Dr Cord never came to see him until they moved him to icu the next day. Dr. Cord did not come and see him for 2 days after that, the nurse had to tell me his kidney had a hemoglobin ,when i brought him into the ER it was 3 centimeters and by the time they took him to the icu it was at 22 centimeters I kept asking for a different Dr. but the nurse said no other Dr. will clean his mess up. Finally he showed up and said he had to go into emergency surgery the nurses had him prep and ready to go in 15 minutes,at that time he told us that the worst thing that could happen is he could loses his kidney, after 6 hours of… surgery he comes out and tells me we got the kidney stone and by the way he lost his kidney,(and the kidney stone was in the urethane not in the kidney, on top of that the antistegeolist came to see me asked how he was and told me that the kidney stone was in the urethane) Dr. Cord never told me that so it was never by the kidney why he lost it we never got any answers. Maybe if he didn't wait the two days before coming and seeing him he could have saved the kidney,we will never know because we didn't get that chance to find out, he is very arrogant. My husband was in a medical dose coma for 2 weeks, when they finally took him out of the coma Dr. Cord came in and talk to him for 2seconds never did he tell him that he lost his kidney and also never did he call for a follow up appointment. Now his body has to try and adapt to one kidney and now he has to take medicine for congested heart failure, that's why he was in a coma for so long he was very healthily and never had heart problems.Trust me I would never recommend him to my worst enemy,which I don't have any.

I had severe pain after an operation. Doctor and staff was rude and told me to take an Aspirin. The smirk on his face was demeaning and uncalled for.

Best Urologist I have ever met.

After calling several urologists, I contacted Dr. Cord's office. I was in so much pain from a kidney stone. When no one else was willing to help me, they gave me an appointment that same day. They told me I may have to wait, but I only waited about 10 minutes. Everyone seemed to care and they were friendly. Dr. Cord explained my options and took care of my problem. This is how all doctors offices should be.
