Dr. Jay Kevin Johnson, DO

For a physician office affiliated with OSU front desk was extremely unprofessional, rude. I felt like you are inconveniencing them and they didn’t want you there. When asked to talk to office manager, she was in meeting and never available to listen to patient. VERY POOR AS FAR AS PATIENT CARE AND UNPROFESSIONAL.

NOT SAYING THAT DR. JOHNSON IS NOT A GOOD DR. BUT, HE TALKED WAY TO FAST AND ACTED AS THOUGH HE WAS IN A RUSH TO GET US OUT OF THE OFFICE AND ON TO THE NEXT PATIENT. IT WAS AS THOUGH WE WERE TAKING UP HIS TIME OVER NOTTHING. OUR TIME, WTIH HIM, WAS VERY IMPORTANT TO US. DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO SAY " IF YOU HAVE ANY FURTHER PROBLEMS DO NOT HESITATE TO CONTACT US" JUST TURNED AND OUT THE DOOR HE WENT. WOULD BE DEBATABLE IF WE WERE EVER TO GO BACK.

He seems very knowledgeable, but also very stiff in his way of doing things. I have symptoms that look like MS, and scans from the opthomolgist that back that up. I've had episodes and flare ups for 13 years, but just started pursuing diagnosis because they're getting worse. They always cleared up on their own before. On my first and second appt with Dr. Johnson, he said my MRI didn't show MS, and I should wait 6 months and see if the symptoms go away. Even though they are constant now and have been for a year and a half. The only reason there was a second appt is that I wanted to give him a second chance. I just want to feel better. He said my symptoms might be caused by stress or depression. I agree those can cause health issues, but my eyes sometimes go dark and my legs or fingers sometimes go numb and stop working. I have lost 3 jobs because of it, and currently can't work. This is something more than stress or depression (neither of which I currently have.)I asked if there were… any other tests we could run, either for MS or anything else. He said he didn't think they were worthwhile. He was very dismissive. Although he seemed generally polite, he never seemed empathetic. I'm pursuing another referral and praying the next neurologist can help me find some relief so that I can get on with my life.

I love the energy Dr. Johnson has! Hes very wise & makes me feel at ease!

Very attentive, professional and friendly staff. Not too long of a wait. And the Dr was fantastic.

Great doctor and office staff. I've never seen a more efficient medical office.

Didn't look at foot when I mentioned a rash developed after change of meds. Didn't seem to care and got offensive when Internet research was mentioned. When doctors don't have a clue, I start looking for answers.

Dr. Johnson was rude and appeared angry. Being in the medical field and working with Surgeons all day long I understand their busy schedules but he was very unprofessional. I would not recommend him to anyone and he needs anger management therapy.
