Dr. Jon Owen Marks, MD

Dr. Marks is a gifted urologist. His expertise has "saved" me a number of times, so I owe him "Big Time"! He is very thorough, takes time to do a proper examination, and follows up every year to be sure my body is working properly. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a urologist.

Only available to see or even speak to patients for several hours one day a week. Doesn't explain diagnosis or treatment plan. Doesn't return calls in a timely manner. Minimal care.

I was admitted to beth Israel hospital (yes its hard to be admitted there) due to kidney stones. I was told I needed a STENT inserted to get the stone removed. I was NOT offered a choice in surgeons--in fact--the day of the surgery--Dr MARKS introduced himself to me right outside the OR--spoke to me for less than 1 minute---brought me right into the ER--and stated he was going to "go up with a stent and remove the kidney stone". OK--Sounded fine..Was NOt fine. he someohoew lost TRACK of the stone--either pushing it further up or just plain missing it---leaving me BLEEDING post surgery--he NEVER came to see me post surgery---he had interns do that--i was bleeding for over a WEEK profusely-wound up in the ER at another hopsital--with inability to stop urinating BLOOD..i develioped a BLOOD CLOT and could not pee--i needed mergency catheter pulling in and out (OUCCHHHHHHH) to try and UNCLOG the clog he caused of BLOOD---this was donew without anesthesia and in a dirty Mount Sinai… ER---this "surgeon is CVARELESS--DO NOT USE....I almost died--I had to pay a private surgeon to save my life using all my savings..Dr MARKS is BAD
