Dr. Kimra Kay Cook, MD

This review is from a few visits I had with her a bit over 20 years ago. Since then I have become a critical care RN certified in multiple disciplines. I truly hope no other person is subjected to her horrific treatment of patients.

The most unprofessional, arrogant , self righteous practitioner , and I use the term loosely. Have no idea why she pretends to counsel patients . She actually seems to have great disdain for anyone with psychological problems . She is judgemental , office is clearly religious , staff is rude and condescending , much like she probably trained them. I would never refer anyone to this horrible person.

After searching for a psychiatrist to see in conjunction with a counselor....we landed on Dr. Cook; Called and made an appointment. Had to delay about a month, but that’s standard. However, when it was less than a week before appointment, the office called to cancel on us saying “oh, she doesn’t see patients with eating disorders”. Could have told us that at the beginning before settting an appointment, going thru our insurance to get a auhorization and waiting three weeks. Now we are in crisis and back to square one. My daughters counselor has advised she may benefit from Prozac and recommended this psych to us. Here we are still trying, Very frustrating and frankly unethical in my opinion.

All she cares about is your insurance. Also, she allows her employees to bully her patients. I actually started to cry in front of her because of her actions and tone of voice, she ignored me and continued to berade me.

Atrocious woman, do not waste your time , money, or energy. I had moved to Arkansas with my husband from several states away. I was in a terrible state of anxiety and depression. She was aloof, indifferent, and compared me to her adopted son from another country. I'm glad her child adjusted well, but I wasn't and perhaps she should have considered that I did not have the same support system as her child . That was my reason for seeking professional help, but instead I was ridiculed and scoffed at. I don't like name calling, but she was just an awful

Hi! Don't waste your HOPE in this Dr Cook; she carries an attitude of superiority, a shameful display of indifference, and a complete Lack of Empathy or any show of character. Please keep looking for a REAL Professional

She made no diagnosis at all, she seemed in a worse condition than I was, and she was a total arrogant fool and should be relieved of her doctoring credentials before someone goes off and commits a horrible crime, IMHO.

I'mblown away by her insincerity. I'm 40+ and have seen dr cook for two years. I adopted a newborn two years ago and now in the process of adopting a sibling group. I needed her to sign off that I was mentall stable for paperwork for DHS. She flat out said no that anyone w a two year old didn't need to adopt siblings. It was like being hurt all over from my father again. He didn't approve of opting a biracial child and basically disowned me. And for dr cook tand
