Dr. Kira A. Skavinski, DO

Was referred to Dr. Skavinski as a cancer patient who was ultimately in need of palliative care. While Dr. Skavinski appeared to come off as interested in learning about my case and my history, it sadly seemed as though she had already made up her mind in terms of what she thought would benefit me, completely disregarding my past regimen used to address my pain and the adjunct issues that go with it. Maybe it is her involvement with Ketamine research that causes her to push patients in one direction as opposed to another, but who knows. Overall, she seemed kind and understanding but simply was not someone who I ultimately wanted dictating my care, as listening to the patient and looking at the full picture of their situation seems to be vitally important to addressing their care.
