Dr. Michael David Lusk, MD

Just figured I’d put my two cents in on this terrible doctor. I saw him over 11 years ago now in Fort Myers, FL. I had a back injury that was work comp related. He didn’t care at all that I was in pain. Told me to take Alieve and go back to full time work and to “suck it up”. Which I was working at Comcast as an install & service technician at that time. He caused my work comp payments to stop in about only a week because of his write up. He helped cause me to have to file for bankruptcy because I wasn’t getting work comp money and couldn’t go back to work. Which in turn ruined my perfect credit I had. I tried to go back to work and couldn’t even lift a ladder off the ground. So I just got sent back home. 11 years later I’m still suffering from my back pain with no relief. I’d rate him as absolutely one of the worst doctors I’ve ever seen. Not surprised he is a work comp doctor as it fits his skill level. If you actually want medical care. I highly advise you don’t go to… Dr. Lusk.

My son died from a traumatic brain injury. He was with my son when he died, yet he chose to send another doctor on the floor to break the news instead of coming to me in person.

dr lusk took a $2200 payment from a workers comp case even before seeing patient. when patient arrived dr lusk's first question was did you play sports as a kid. the patient said yes. then dr lusk just proceeded to say then your injury was preexisting. didn't matter the facts of the injury, this guy is all about the benjamins.

Great Doctor. Very busy, so expect to wait. Well worth it. Not cut happy and caring.

Dr Lusk has been my neurosurgeon for approximately 25+years. He performed 3 neck surgeries and the latest and most serious lower back surgery was performed May 27 2015. I was in NCH for 2 days following the surgery and was released. I had a couple cysts near my spinal cord along with bulging disks bone spurs and in general a very bad back. I was home for 2 weeks and headed back to my extremely stressful job at NCH downtown hospital. My personal experience with Dr Lusk, his PA Debbie and the entire staff was fantastic ��. I would recommend Dr Lusk to anyone out there that needs a neurosurgeon. He is extremely experienced in his field, delightful to talk to, understanding and caring. HE IS MY FAVORITE DOCTOR and for those who can even think to give him a bad review should have their heads examined literally!!!!

Dr lusk unprofessional rude didn't Care at all for patients Only care for for workers Comp insurance , last year a judge in Miami rule workers comp law unconstitutional in the state of Florida Check Elsa Padgett vs. state of Florida Because of Dr like Dr Lusk.

Dr. Lusk did a cervical fusion on me a few years back. My pain ceased immediately after the surgery and I have no regrets. He was courteous, and caring. I am not fond of his office staff, but I have nothing bad to say about this doctor!

The staff was nice and the waiting time not too bad, about 15 minutes after the scheduled appointment. I was there as a referral for a WC injury. The doctor spent almost 40 minutes with me looking at my MRI and saying how bad the display was. He then told me that as a WC patient he could not do anything.. He told me to get a book that was out of print and do some of the neck exercises in there. He also said to be "careful because if you do them wrong you will end up in the hospital." Dr. Lusk refused to say which exercises I needed to do or how to have my neck not feel like it needed to be cracked all the time, or how to get my hand from being numb. He, the doctor, was not even willing to make sure that I did not go and do the wrong exercises or do them correctly. This doctor does only things, dismisses you quickly without explaining, medicates you silly (I am glad he did not do that to me), or surgery. Any real doctoring, preventive or fix with PT, he is not interested in. Please… do not go to this doctor as you will not get treated properly. Wish I could offer zero or negative stars. The only good thing he did was release me from my WC doctors so I can now go to a real doctor to get my neck and numbness fixed correctly.

I don't know why this Dr. was not already a 4 star. Upon knowing that I had a painful problem, a Friday call got a Tue appt. When I got to the office (early) they got me into a exam room right away as sitting was painful. Dr. Lusk has a great office manner...made an MRI appointment for the same day...read the MRI the next day and gave his diagnosis/recommendation. I had my lab work the next day...and then he scheduled and did my surgery on Fri. even though it was not his regular surgery day...came in especially for me. It is now Ssaturday...my very acute pain is gone as I closely follow his post surgery instruction. As you can see by my ratings, I would highly recommend this Dr.
