Dr. Allen is a warm, down-to-earth person who is extremely knowledgable. Her care and compassion shines through her gentle personality. Dr Allen is my and my momma's personal eye Dr. I was a Social Worker for 17 yrs with our local agency before and after I was diagnosed with aml leukemia. This doctor is so professional. She responded to my phone calls with my clients when other doctors would not. In fact out of all of those years she was the only one who actually took time to call me back and answer my guestions so that I could help to link services with my clients in need of care.I want to say also that she is absolutely the kindest person and Doctor that I know. She is so good to my mother who has been her patient for years, even before I got my Degrees and has cared for her till now. I can't say enough about her--and the professional manner which is recognized by many of North Carolina finest universities. She truely cares for her clients, regardless of age, race or income level. I don't know how else to get the word out on such a wonderful doctor that I know personally as well as professionally to be true… except to note in a short critique on the internet. I hope this will assist those of you not sure of who to trust with your eye care.

Dr. Allen took charge of my son when he was 6 months old had extensive testing done here and in Chapel Hill to get the right information and then performed his surgery that has corrected his eyes and he is now 15 and is still in good eye health. Thanks to Dr. Allen to do what was needed to insure my small sons eyes health.
