Dr. Nancy Teresa Behram, MD

I was being seen by Dr. Behram during my first pregnancy when I started to bleed while on vacation. She was unavailable so I spoke to the nurse who referred me to go to the local hospital in the town we were visiting. After confirming with the hospital and later confirming with Dr. Behram’s nursing staff that I had a miscarriage, Dr. Behram sent me a portal message about 5 days later saying “everything looks fine” ... I had already had a confirmed miscarriage and was grieving the loss so this was an additional punch to the gut. I switched providers immediately.

Dr. Nancy Behram was my doctor for my entire pregnancy at Congressional OBGYN. At 34 weeks I developed severe preeclampsia and rushed to the hospital only to find out she no longer had privileges there. She hadn’t had privileges at Shady Grove for months, something she should have mentioned at my doctor visits. Can you imagine developing a serious condition like preeclampsia rushing to the hospital only to find out the doctor you trusted could NEVER deliver your baby?!? This review is posted to warn other pregnant women so they will not have to experience what I did. Please think twice about choosing Dr. Nancy Behram as your OB.

Dr. Behram failed to diagnose and treat my condition. I complained to her multiple times about the same symptoms, but she kept dismissing them as normal. My condition got worse and eventually landed me 3 days in the hospital and a surgical procedure that could have been avoided if treated properly from the beginning. I wouldn’t recommend her to anyone. Needless to say I’ll be switching doctors.

They scheduled me for 10 minutes for an annual exam- should show you how horrible this practice is.

Please do not trust that she is a specialist of breast cancer! I am shocked to see that as the first item in her list of expertise. I have been complaining to her for 3.5 years about major changes in my nipple she dismissed every time as related to pregnancy and breastfeeding. When I finally got too worried and went to see another doctor, I was immediately diagnosed with a cancer that has probably been growing for years (it covers 6cm of my breast) and I am awaiting surgery to find out see the extent of damage. In addition to this, she and her office were horrible the last months of my pregnancy, forgetting to talk to me about my vaccines, not responding to phone or portal messages, ordering an expensive CT scan and never communicating the results… the list goes on. Bottom line: we are lucky in the DC area to have many choices, don’t chose her or her office and have a horrible experience at best, or an extensive cancer that could have been caught much earlier at worst…

I saw Dr Nancy Behram and It seem not to care at all about my conditions she couldn't answer any of my questions and she referred me to Maryland Perinatal associates. The staff very rude, disorganized and unwilling to help. I wouldn't recommend this Dr at all.

Dr. Behram is nice in the beginning and rude towards the end. She never asked how are you doing it was always "did you take your blood work! "The blood work is a financial gain for them and that's all they care about not you or the baby. I understand you need blood work but wow she gets mad when you turn down one I'm like it's my body. Also she is very unprofessional I heard he talking about me to one of the nurses in the back. Don't recommend her at all!

Dr. Nancy Behram has been my OBGYN for over 15 years. She personable, knowledgeable, and patient. She takes time to listen to my concerns and is responsive to my health care needs. She is now located at Congressional OBGYN, 15005 Shady Grove Rd. Suite 130, Rockville, MD 20850 301-294-8525

I didn't have a pleasant experience. Dr. Behram seems to be knowledgable but lacks empathy. So sad for someone in a helping profession not to care for her patients. She is very busy, so do not expect to receive prompt response to your emails. She never called me, but promised she would. She is also late for her appointments. Her staff came to be very unprofessional. Again, that was my experience with Dr. Behram and I don't think I could have had good working relationship with her.
