Dr. Patricia Taylor Cook, MD

I was a patient of hers for 2 years and then out of nowhere, without any any prior negative experiences, she terminated our relationship and abandoned me without notice and refused to provide any care while I found a new doctor. She documented my medical records with false information as well and refused to correct them until I placed legal pressure on her to do so. What she did was cruel and her actions are shameful to the medical profession. I pray NO-ONE else ever has to go thru what I did with Dr Cook.

She was a great doctor for the most part and then one day she decided to rely on completely false information without speaking with me first and when it was proven that ALL of her facts were proven wrong, she became extremely upset and refused to correct her mistake. She not only placed the false information in my file, she hasn't corrected it even after evidence has proven she was dishonest. She also ordered 425.00 worth of labs be billed to me AFTER I was no longer a patient. I promise you, this information is true and please be very careful if you decide to deal with her. One minute she is fine, the next minute she will turn on you. I was a patient for years with not a single problem and then out of nowhere, this one and only incident happened. Her treatment as a doctor was inexcusable and her actions has caused me problems with current treatment as well. She knowingly place false information in my records and refused to fix them stating "it doesn't matter, I'm terminating you… anyways from the practice!"

Dr. Cook is one of those rare doctors who spends time with you and treats you as a person rather than just "another patient". I have been very impressed with her conservative treatments - doesn't just throw medication at you, but looks for the best approach - and her ability to diagnose. She is also very pleasant and empathic. I don't mind the 25 mile drive to the office or the 15 - 20 minute wait to see her because I know I'm going to have the time I need with her, and will receive excellent medical treatment when I'm seen. If you're not pleased with Dr. Cook, you're looking for something that doesn't exist!

I knew that I would feel very comfortable with Dr. Cook the first time I had an appointment with her. Her bedside manners was what I liked the most. She also took time to listen and spend time with me which is hard to find these days. I didn't feel like a number.
