Dr. Shafagh Monazzam, MD

Dr. Shafagh Monazzam is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in surgery and orthopedic care. He earned his medical degree from the University of California San Diego and completed his orthopedic residency at the University of California Davis. Dr. Monazzam further advanced his expertise through a fellowship in adult reconstruction at the University of Chicago. With 16 years of experience in orthopedic medicine, he speaks English, Farsi, and Spanish.

Dr. Monazzam practices at several locations throughout Southern California, including South Gate, Long Beach, and Fountain Valley. He maintains hospital affiliations with Saint Mary Medical Center, Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center, and College Medical Center South Campus. His clinical focus includes treating osteoarthritis and knee osteoarthritis, as well as managing joint pain. He incorporates physical therapy and strength training into patient care plans and utilizes extremity X-rays for diagnostic purposes.
