Dr. Chris Alan Sloffer, MD

My wife was diagnosed with a menigioma over her motor cortex. The day after the surgery to remove it, she had a hemorrhagic stroke which paralysed her entire left side. Dr. Sloffer came by once to see her post-stroke and not again after that. There was no clot before the surgery so it's pretty clear what caused it.

He was cold like ice. He was the only Dr available at all hours. And he give me the wrong dignosis.

Bedside manor was terrible.Had no problem with left leg before surgery only had approximately 25% use after surgery for 2 months.Has been 1 year and 3 months since surgery and still having bad nerve problems with the left leg.Dr.Sloffer finnally admitted after about a year that he may of nicked a nerve but still waiting for recovery.I have down everything he asked of me for recovery and I am very disappointed with him.If somebody recommends him don't be fooled find another surgeon.Good luck.

Seems to be very knowledgeable and be able to relate well to patients . Too early to tell much else.

I've interacted with many physicians through the years, including surgeons, and I've never experienced such total disregard from a doctor. After performing my surgery I continued to have pain and increasing symptoms which he dismissed as "impossible". After weeks of begging for re-evaluation and another MRI, one was finally done which showed the surgery had not been successful and needed to be redone. The second time was successful and I'm grateful. And I respect the fact that mistakes are made and doctors aren't infallible but that was not the way it should have happened. He even told me I was misremembering my presenting symptoms despite my husband's and my clear recollection of what I had been experiencing and when I said I never had hand pain, I definitely hadn't had it and didn't need to be challenged on it and treated like a child. While I'm sure he is a competent neurosurgeon, I will never return nor will I ever recommend him to anyone. There are too many other good… choices out there.

Was great the operation went great and I feel perfect.
