Dr. Lusis was inspired to pursue neurosurgery in medical school after learning that his father was diagnosed with a brain tumor. While taking time away from medical school to volunteer with a neuro-oncology team, he was deeply influenced by the compassion and skill of the neurosurgeons he worked alongside. That experience, along with guidance from mentors during residency and values instilled by his mother, helped shape his career.He was drawn to Bronson because of the strong culture of teamwork, safety and high-quality care. He values the variety of patients he treats and the opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated care team to make a meaningful difference in the lives of his patients.Outside of work, he enjoys running, spending time with his wife and children, and participating in Latvian cultural activities.I don’t treat an MRI—I treat the patient. I take the time to understand what each patient is going through at an individual level and to develop a treatment plan …that addresses their specific needs.

Horrible bedside manner, extremely rude. He treats others as if you are insignificant. No way I would ever let this person treat me.

No help at all. Explained lower back pain and he was very dismissive.

I had expressed concerns of how i felt like Dr Lusis was not helping me, When I did he got very hostile and told me if I did not feel like I was being helped I can go to a new provider. I did just that, My new DR is very helpful He has explained of what I should expect with my back imjury. For example I drove to kalamazoo and it caused my back to really hurt, I was not sure if that was normal but Dr lusis would not even tell me if it was normal or not due to the fact I didnt need a surgery. My new surgeon is extreamly nice and will answer any question I have unlike Dr lusis. If you have a back injury I do not recommend DR Lusis, I will go paralyised before I ever have to be around that man again.

I’ve had Dr. Lusis for 2 lower back surgeries (and in the process for a possible 3rd) for myself and my father. He’s taken great care of us through the years. Would definitely recommend!

Did surgery on my neck cked on me before and after surgery and while i was in hospital. Super doctor i like him a lot..

Dr. Lusis performed lower back surgery on me in January, 2016. He explained what he would do so that I could understand. He was on time, visited me daily after the surgery, and discharged me after three days. I could not be happier with the work he performed.
