Giving him a 1 because zero is not a choice!

I will never go to Wiersma again, and I will do everything I can to share my experience with him. First of all, I waited 50 minutes for my appointment. He did not apologize or even give an explanation when he finally came in. He did not adequately introduce himself, just mumbled his name which I couldn't even hear. The reason for my appointment was to ask him for medication to help stimulate my breastfeeding. He treated me like a pain medication seeker, refusing to give me anything, and the only advice he could offer me was to "breastfeed as much as possible". Any animal knows that already. He had no empathy whatsoever. I will never ever see him again, and I will even go out of my way to warn others about him.

Dr Wiersma answered all my questions about my abnormal Pap smear and reassured me I was not that unusual. Made me feel much better about it.

Saw Wiersma for a single ultrasound appointment. His statement upon performing the ultrasound: "There's good news and there's bad news. The good news is there's a heartbeat. The bad news is you're probably going to have a miscarriage. You can put your clothes back on now." NO concern about my emotional well-being on having delivered this devastating news (first pregnancy), NO offer of grief counseling, which I later found out the clinic offered, NO straightforward answers to my questions about the ultrasound. I found out more about my condition in a ten minute literature search on PubMed than in the appointment. Callous, uncaring, offhand. I have no idea why this man is an obstetrician.
