He wanted to put me on antipsychotics (which would have done permanent damage) when none of the many other Dr's I've seen ever suggested anything close. I found him to be cruel and not helpful

He was seeing a family member of mine who was just discharged from a 4 week hospitalization. He didn't even bother to read the hospital reports to see which meds worked and which didn't. My family member didn't want to be on meds and asked him to take him off and on his 1st visit of literally seeing him for only 3 minutes he told him he could stop taking his mood stabilizers cold without even weaning him off and changed his other meds without even observing to see how he was doing on the current meds which he happened to be doing very well on. When he came back home his mood swings came back, he became symptomatic again and relapsed. All because didn't take the time to read his charts and see what the doctors at the hospital wrote. A good doctor will always consult with previous doctors as well as family members. Dr. Branson's only concern was getting the patient in and out of his office as soon as possible.
