Dr. Luke S Spencer Gardner, MD

Have a torn tendon (medal glute) that I have been trying to get repaired. Dr Spencer Gardner said I also needed a hip replacement ( I didn't think so) and Dr Sherman who looked at me first and met with me for around for a year and a half with injections and imaging also did not think it was my hip. She referred me to Dr Gardner. He would not repair without also replacing hip. Surgery were scheduled by Dr Gardner. He was 5 hours late with surgery and only replaced hip. Just because of his lack of patient commitment I have to undergo another surgery to actually address the real issue. I cannot believe Mayo hired this Dr from Oral Roberts University. He will lie to your face. I went under thinking I was getting help and was a in good hands and woke up in a hall with no room scheduled and missed radiology appointment because of his delays.

He diagnosed my gluteus medius tear where every other Dr just diagnosed as bursitis. His surgery gave me tremendous relief and am having the other tear repaired by him soon as well.

Dr. Spencer-Gardner performed a laproscopic hip surgery that has given me a pain free life. I had a complicated case and he was prepared to do whatever it took to correct the anatomy of my hip and labrum and to give me the very best outcome, which was a success. Dr. Spencer-Gardner is a dedicated and intelligent surgeon. I am very thankful.

Performed hip surgery on my daughter for torn labrum. Daughter still has pain. Consulted with other drs after. They said surgery done improperly. Only used one anchor when several are standard. We also know of another person who had same surgery and same problem. Surgery had to be redone. My daughters does, too. He’s left Dallas so wherever he is, please get a second opinion and use a different surgeon.
