Dr. Sayeed Nabi, MD

5 years ago I went to him with issues and he was a saint. He truly turned my life around for the better, so I went to see him again recently for new issues. He is not the same person, I believe age may have a factor. The first 30 seconds he comes into the room, he comments on how much weight I gained...twice. Which was mostly healthy weight i needed but he seemed appalled. I came to him because five different doctors of different specialties (I have a lot of health problems) in the span of 3 months tell me they see a decent amount of fluid in my ears. He looks and says they are normal and all the other doctors misdiagnosed me, despite telling him they are not always bothering me, just most of the time. Then I tell him I get dizzy occasionally because the room feels like it is spinning when I lie down but more often than not, i feel more spacey than anything. He says "So you do not have dizziness. You do not know what dizziness means." Then he asks what antibiotics I was given for my… ear infection. I said "I believe it was Azithromax but I am not sure if I am pronouncing right." He replies "Then don't say anything." He asks how is my hearing, I said it feels normal. He then tells me he is going to send me for a hearing test but it will be a wait. I trusted him so I added an hour and a half to my appointment to do this test and come back with the results. Before he even opens the envelope, he says "I know this will have come back normal but I needed you to believe me." So he opens the envelope and slaps the papers in front of me and says, "See? normal." I left in tears and for his sake and other patients, I pray that he retires soon. The worst part is he didn't even address most of my issues, just my ears and issues from 5 years ago.

I went to him a few years ago before they stopped taking my insurance. Being a young female with anxiety, a lot of doctors brushed me off over the years but he listened intently and ordered multiple tests that led to helpful answers. He even rushed me into his office when my thyroid was swelling up terribly. He showed me nothing but kindness and went out of his way for me multiple times.

The doctor is arrogant and gets offended when patients ask questions. He actually yelled at me in front of his staff. I had a medical condition that was new to me, so I was asking questions to help myself. He takes it as questioning his authority. He also insults his patients with codenames. If he thinks a patient is stupid, he will tell his staff that he needs his "Monkey Juice", which seems to refer to a drink to help him deal with stupid people. He said this about me as I stood right there.
